WHO WE ARE
Soundtrack Loops was founded in 2006 by Matthew Yost and Jason Donnelly and has grown into one of the most trusted independent sources for royalty free loops and sample packs in the industry. With over 20 years of continuous operation, we’ve built a catalog of more than 120,000 professionally crafted sounds used by producers, filmmakers, musicians, and composers worldwide.
Matthew Yost, co-runs Soundtrack Loops alongside Jason Donnelly, founder of Peace Love Productions (est. 2001). The two first crossed paths in 1998 at Sonic Foundry Inc. — the company behind the original ACID Pro DAW, now owned by Boris FX. That shared history in the early days of loop-based production shaped everything Soundtrack Loops became.
Together, Matthew and Jason have produced, formatted, and marketed hundreds of loop packs, and have worked directly with some of the world’s leading audio software companies and hardware manufacturers. Current and past partners include Native Instruments, AudioKit, 1010music, Muse Group, Acoustica Mixcraft, PreSonus, NAMM, Peace Love Productions, and Antares.
Matthew leads Soundtrack Loops’ design, development, marketing, and customer support. He has represented the brand at industry events, cultivated producer collaborations, and released multiple original sound libraries under the Montra alias.
Jason brings decades of production experience through Peace Love Productions, one of the most prolific loop production companies in the royalty-free audio industry. In addition to creating thousands of sounds and sample libraries, he has secured many of Soundtrack Loops’ most significant brand partnerships and licensing agreements, establishing collaborations with leading music technology companies, software developers, distributors, and content platforms. These relationships have helped expand the company’s global reach while bringing Soundtrack Loops content to a wider community of musicians, producers, and composers. Some of those brands include The Grammy Museum, NAMM, Humble Bundle, 1010 Music, Antares, Native Instruments, Magix, Acoustica, Audiokit, and Fanatical.
OBJECTIVE
Soundtrack Loops exists to give producers, filmmakers, remixers, and songwriters immediate access to professional-grade sounds — without the complexity, the clearance headaches, or the price tags that come with traditional music licensing.
Every pack we release is built around one standard: does it hold up in a finished mix? If it doesn’t pass that test, it doesn’t ship. That commitment is why producers keep coming back, and why our sounds have ended up in TV, film, advertising, and chart-level releases across every major genre.
