    Soundtrack Loops is pleased to announce a contest open to all aspiring remixers and producers worldwide. The contest is for the best remixes of Brittany Bindrim’s track, “Volcano”. The contest begins Thursday, May 16, 2024 and the deadline for entries is June 28, 2024. You can head HERE to register, then return to this page to download the vocal stems.

  • About the Artist: Synth-pop artist and composer Brittany Bindrim released her long-awaited debut album Velella Velella March 8, 2024 on Metropolis Records. Already known for her catchy melodies and powerhouse vocal performances in her band I:Scintilla, she ventures into new sonic terrains as a solo artist with hard-hitting, edgy tracks featuring punishing beats and harsh synthesizers. From moody, ethereal ballads to gritty dance bangers, Velella Velella showcases both the versatility and evolution of her work. Channeling transformation, sociopolitical climates, and expeditions to understand the darker side of human nature, her vulnerable and unapologetic lyrics showcase themes of self-discovery, empathy, apathy, and growth.

    Here is your opportunity to remix “Volcano” for a chance to be featured on the official digital EP to be released by Metropolis Records, along with other great prizes!

    The Seastorm Maestros EP is a remix collection of tracks from Brittany’s album Velella Velella. The winner of the contest will be featured on Brittany’s digital EP for release in the fall of 2024. Additional remixers include Matt McJunkins of a A Perfect Circle and the Beta Machine, Walter Flakus of Stabbing Westward, Greg Panciera, Cyanotic, Ivardensphere, and more!

  • Step 4: Return to this page and upload your remix before the deadline by using the button below.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS/RULES:

In addition to the usual Soundtrack Loops Contest Terms and Conditions, please note the following entry requirements:

  • This is a free remix contest. No purchase is necessary.
  • Contest begins May 16th at 12PM PST.
  • Please upload a high quality compressed file format like 320kb MP3. Name your remix like this Brittany Bindrim – Volcano (your name Remix).
  • Please make sure to name your file before uploading. “Brittany Bindrim – Volcano (your name Remix).mp3” It must be in this format to be accepted.
  • Create a remix over 2 1/2 minutes in length.
  • Have legal rights to all sounds used in your remix.
  • Entrants must use at least one of the vocal stems provided.
  • One entry per person. You may upload improved versions though.
  • DO NOT UPLOAD TO ANY OTHER SITE. Uploading to Soundcloud, Youtube, etc without the artist’s permission is prohibited.

JUDGING:

Your magma-nificent submissions will be judged by Brittany Bindrim + team, focusing on creativity and effective use of the included stems. Winners will be announced July 11th, 2024.

You may share your remixes on Soundtrack Loops, Instagram, Facebook or TikTok (*Please tag both Soundtrack Loops & Brittany), but Spotify or other retail outlets are a NO-GO (copyright rules, you know). Good luck and let the remixing begin!
