Soundtrack Loops intros Funktronix – Loops, MIDI, & One-Shots. Up from the vast DJ Puzzle archive comes Funktronix, a retro breakbeat construction kit that’s like a ticket to a 1980s decade-long club tour vacation with stops in New York, LA, Tokyo, Detroit, Düsseldorf and points between. Perusing these sounds is like peering in on Run-DMC hanging with Aerosmith, Ryuichi Sakamoto hanging with Iggy Pop, and Kraftwerk hanging with Rebecca Allen and those amazing computer-generated heads at Electric Café. Amazing times! It’s all mirrored here in a complete construction kit featuring 185 loops, 22 one shots, and 42 MIDI files, organized and strategized for logical and very speedy production, natively between 110 and 125 BPM. Drum loop options include both instrument breakouts and mixed beats—there’s even a folder full of drag ‘n’ drop processed beat options. Featured instruments that make Funktronix unique include a folder full of rock guitar riffs as well as a collection of vocoded samples that amplify the electro nature of this strong set of beats, basses, synths, decks (yes indeed, there’s a touch of that) and effects. When music conjures classic imagery this strong and positive, then you know it’s good! The success formula here is a two-part equation: knowing the music, and loving the music. On Funktronix, the abstract math on either side is perfectly balanced, and the output is pure inspiration.
As standard practice for all loops created by the Soundtrack Loops team, Key and BPM are tagged in both metadata and file names.
